Toro Rosso retains Ricciardo and Vergne for 2013

Toro Rosso have confirmed that it will retain Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne for the 2013 season.

Both drivers made their debut for Toro Rosso in 2012 and they currently sit 17th and 18th in the drivers championship standings.

Vergne is currently 17th in the championship with 12 points having scored three eighth place finishes in Malaysia, Belgium and Korea.

Ricciardo moved to Toro Rosso from HRT at the start of 2012 and has scored nine points to sit 18th in the drivers championship with top ten finishes in five races.

Both drivers have had a relatively difficult season with their car being largely uncompetitive however both have shown examples of what they could offer teams in the future. They will be hoping that Toro Rosso’s 2013 car will allow them to showcase their talent further.
