Grosjean wins 2012 Race of Champions

Romain Grosjean won Sunday’s Race of Champions (ROC) after beating Tom Kristensen in the individual event.

Grosjean had to beat team event winners for Germany, Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher, in head-to-head battles on his way to the win.

The frenchman beat Kristensen in the final, a best of three races head-to-head battle, showing impressive form.

Grosjean drove for Lotus on his F1 return but has yet to be confirmed for the 2013 season.

ROC was held in Thailand at Bangkok’s Rajamangala Stadium.

Sutil could make F1 return in 2013

Adrian Sutil has revealed that there would be no legal restrictions if he made a return to F1 for the 2013 season.

Sutil did not drive in 2012 after being released from the Force India team following a altercation in a nightclub with Lotus team executive Eric Lux.

The altercation which took place in China after the 2011 race saw Sutil receive a 18 month suspended sentence and many suspected that he would be banned from entering a number of countries on the F1 calendar.

Sutil has been tipped as a front runner for the second Force India seat in recent weeks and confirmed at the ROC that there would be no travel restrictions for him if he made a return next season.

Other drivers in contention for the seat are said to be Kamui Kobayashi, Bruno Senna and current reserve driver Jules Bianchi.
