Chilton secures Marussia drive

Max Chilton is to make his Formula 1 debut for Marussia next season after securing the second race seat at the team.

The British driver will partner Timo Glock in 2013 after being promoted from the reserve driver role.

Chilton worked with Marussia as reserve driver at the last six races of the 2012 season and will become the fourth British driver on the grid.

He joins Marussia from GP2 where he finished the 2012 season 4th in the driver standings after taking two wins in Hungary and Singapore.
