Marussia will launch their new car the MR02 on Tuesday February 5 at Jerez.
The car will be unveiled in the pit lane ahead of the first day of testing with Max Chilton driving the car on the opening day. The rest of the testing schedule is to be announced.
The team ended its partnership with driver Timo Glock earlier this month but no replacement was announced at the time. Now rumours in Brazil suggest that Luiz Razia will be confirmed as the second race driver for Marussia this season.
Razia has links to the Marussia team having been their test driver in former guise Virgin Racing and later taking part in the Young Drivers test in 2010. Razia then joined the Lotus team (now Caterham) as test and reserve driver in 2011 taking part in some Free Practice sessions.
The Brazilian racer spent 2012 in the GP2 racing series finishing second in the championship and looks likely of securing the Marussia seat with financial backing behind him.
No official announcement has been made but Razia is known to be in communication with the Marussia team over a race seat. If Razia joins the team it will mean an all new line-up with both drivers rookies.
