Force India have launched their 2013 car the VJM06 on Friday at their Silverstone base.
The VJM06 is built on the strengths of the team’s 2012 car with few regulation changes for the 2013 season.
The team has elected to use the modesty panel to cover up the stepped noses seen of 2012 cars.
The car is powered by Mercedes engines and KERS and continues to have gearboxes supplied by McLaren Applied Technologies.
With Paul di Resta on hand to reveal the car the team officially confirmed that he would be driving for them next year. Although Jules Bianchi has been strongly linked to the second seat at the team Force India have yet to announce the second driver.
The team’s deputy team principal Bob Fernley said that they expect to make a driver announcement before the second pre-season test in Barcelona.
The team also announced a new partnership with TW Steel who will become the official time keeper of the team.
The car will be tested for the first time next week at Jerez during F1s first pre-season test.
