Caterham have announced that Giedo van der Garde will race for the team during the 2013 season.
The Dutch driver announced the deal at a press conference held on Friday afternoon.
Van der Garde became test and reserve driver for Caterham in 2012 after joining their GP2 team. He took part in six free practice sessions for the team and set best times of 19th in China, India and Brazil during FP1.
The 27-year-old driver previously won the Formula Renault 3.5 Series in 2008.
Van der Garde will join Charles Pic at the team with Pic joining Caterham from Marussia.
The announcement means Caterham will have an all new line-up for 2013 with 2012 drivers Heikki Kovalainen and Vitaly Petrov both now facing 2013 on the sidelines.
